Dr. Zakaria is a State board certified Periodontist as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Zakaria has completed numerous post-graduate courses in Periodontics and is well versed in the latest treatments and techniques in the management of Periodontal Disease, and Dental Implants. He is one of the very few Periodontist in the greater Detroit area, as well as in the State of Michigan to have earned the title of (Diplomate) in addition to his
state board certifications. Dr. Zakaria received his Certificate of Periodontics, and Master of Science degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry. Dr. Zakaria has been Involved in Dental Implants, and Periodontal Plastic Surgery since 1992.
Dr. Zakaria is also certified in light Parental Conscious Sedation. Dr. Zakaria has been involved in teaching since 1992, and holds a teaching position at University of Detroit School of Dentistry since 1997.
